This meme again pits the moon against Mars. This time, however, it is the moon that is “getting attention” rather than Mars. Here, a crescent moon is pictured during the recent eclipse, saying, “Look everyone, why am I red? Am I…Mars? Nah, it’s me, the moon! Lol. Who would want to be big, stupid Mars?” Mars is then pictured overhearing the moon’s exchange with (presumably) the citizens of Earth. Mars is then shown to be crying. A close up of Mars’s tears is then in the newspaper with the headline, “NASA Confirms Liquid, Flowing Water on Mars.” HenryKrinkle comments that, “tfw [the feeling when] you're a planet,” and NeilRashbrook adds that, “crescent moons are never red.”
